Sandy is a graduate of Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. She has been practicing as a Physical Therapist since 1986, and the specialty of Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy for over 25 years. She has a Certification in Manual Physical Therapy (CMPT) and Pelvic Rehabilitation Certified Practitioner (PRPC) through Herman and Wallace Institute. She has also earned Certification of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy (CAPP) from APTA. The combination of both certifications in Orthopedic and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation has allowed Sandy to more effectively treat the whole body and thus achieve better outcomes. She is comfortable treating women and men who suffer with bladder, bowel, orthopedic and sexual issues related to pelvic floor muscle dysfunction. Sandy enjoys helping women stay active through pregnancy and postpartum, treating diastasis recti, prolapse and orthopedic related issues such as hip, sacroiliac, symphysis pubis and pelvic pain. She has treated many men suffering from pelvic pain that is often misdiagnosed as chronic prostatitis. Sandy has a high level of empathy and is motivated to provide excellence in care because of her own experience with pelvic floor related issues. When not in the clinic treating patients, Sandy enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors golfing, hiking, biking, and camping in beautiful Tennessee.
